We are so confident in our SunDown Gold in particular that we have extended the frame warranty to 10 years. The testing of our SunDown Gold with a 13', under the HSCE7-93 Standard, passed at 40 M.P.H. This is an actual engineering structural test of the product. Do not confuse this with a T.U.V rating. T.U.V test s only for electrical and mechanical safety and suitability for purpose. No stress tests are performed. What does this mean to you? The SunDown Gold retractable awning has been tested and certified by registered engineer Barry Steinberg, P.E. to withstand wind loads up to 40 M.P.H. This assures you that your SunDown Gold retractable awning can easily withstand those unexpected wind gusts. These are certified structural engineering tests. Stay tuned for additional test results. The other SunDown models have not been tested at this time. |
