IAwning Adjustment and Pitch Recommendations
After the awning has been installed, making sure all bolts have been tightened and packing materials removed, extend the awning to its full projection. The folding arms) will still be slightly angled. The Grand and High Wind awnings have tubular arms so their arms will be straight.
Setting the correct pitch is one of the most important details to protect the retractable awning from rain damage. Extend the awning to its maximum projection, keeping the fabric as taut as possible. Using a 4' level or larger, place the level on the top of the front rail and set the pitch of the fabric to the pitch chart, or at whatever pitch you may desire. Note: The recommended pitch is the angle of drop the company feels will offer the best operational protection in case of a heavy rain or sudden heavy wind gusts. If there are ever questions regarding this procedure, call customer service 1-888-795-9441 for additional information.
The pitch is easily adjusted using the appropriate tool.
SunDown Retractable Awnings with Electric Motor
Install the awning in the same fashion as a manually operated awning. An electrical diagram, supplied with the RTS motor will indicate the proper connections to 120-volt AC service. You can also use a custom cord that simply plugs into a convenient receptacle. No electrician, no diagrams just plug and play. Do not adjust the motor, which has been tested and preset at the factory. Before wiring two or more motors together please contact AGI Group, Inc. for important wiring Information.
