Sun Shade Description

For elegant indoor or outdoor sun protection, our Mini and Maxi Drop Sun Shades are as beautiful as they are functional!

Compact construction and stylish housing make these screen shades a great solution and practical design element for windows, doors and other areas that require solar protection.

Drop Sun Shades can be installed on walls or ceilings, and all models are operated by either crank and gear or optional electric motor. Drop Sun Shades can be linked together horizontally and automated with light sensors or timers.

A wide array of fabrics provides many levels of sun protection, from 20% light-filtering to blackout shades.

Mini- and Maxi-Drop Sun Shades offer two guide systems that ensure easy installation for virtually any application; extruded aluminum guide rails and steel rod guides.

Sun Shade Specification

Mini Sun Shade Drop Awning using a 103mm round hood with a self lubricating worm gearbox operator with a 4:1 reduction.

Operating crank can be removable with hook and ring, or permanently connected using a thru the wall universal for inside operation. Operating crank handles are made of powder coated aluminum.
Roller tube is made of galvanized steel with groove for the cover mount. Hood is produced in one-piece round extruded aluminum profiles. Hood side caps are powder coated aluminum castings with add-on gudgeons to hold the gearbox bearing and idler end and guide rails.
Awning drop rail is a round profile of aluminum with groove made for attaching
the drop fabric cover and lateral guide gudgeons made of plastic. Guide rails are made of extruded aluminum profiles, with slide groove for the Awning drop rail.
Includes profile groove for the mounting angle made of aluminum casting for installation on facade. All visible screws are stainless steel.

Options:

Gearbox operation with ring and detachable awning operating handle with hook.
Gearbox with operating handle link and detachable break operating handle with
operating handle.

Cable guide made of 3mm stainless steel cable with pressed on thread end
pieces up and down to be attached in the side cap above and in the mounting made of aluminum casting at the bottom to anchor the SS Cable.

Rod guide made of 8mm chrome steel with thread end pieces up and down to
be mounted in the side cap above and in the aluminum casting at
the bottom of the rod.

Option electric drive: Tubular AC motor 120V/60Hz with friction brake and electronic end stops. Includes auto Thermal circuit breaker protection and
60” 4-pole connection cable.
